"It is not uncommon for people on these trips, especially with new chemical drugs, as opposed to organic ones, to develop the illusion that they are themselves computers. This, of course, is not so much a hallucination as a discovery."

The fourth entry in the Id Mud mixtape series comes from Moopie, boss of Australia's A Colorful Storm - a label which opened its account last year with a reissue of a '82 minimal synth / indie-pop holy grail from Denial, and more recently has registered the contemporary junglist malaise of Mark and the hulking soundsystem deconstructions of Tackle.

Ten Minutes Tardy is a similarly schizophrenic, that is to say similarly coherent, offering. Side A is a high-velocity, crissly edited tribute to early techstep and ultra-stripped 1997-2000 dnb futurism...darkside-leaning, assembled with uncommon precision and uncommon feeling, opening up wormholes in your bedroom wall, reactivating mind-viruses long dormant. Side B, by contrast, swims luxuriantly in plaintive electro-acoustic dreamtime and uncanny, (un)pop minimalism - but the sense of spatial dislocation it engenders is, if anything, greater. "I was still separate on the shadow's ground but, charged with growth, was being altered... composing uncomposed."
